Join me for a week of yoga, deepening your practice and understanding of yoga. Each day the practices will have a different focus and take place either outside in the woods or overlooking the sea or inside in a yoga space carved into the rocks.

The Morning practice will be a dynamic flow to help you bring out the best in yourself first thing. Energizing your body and focusing and calming your mind. Connecting with the creative energy of the morning. The day will then be yours to relax or explore. Sunset practice will allow you to unwind and wind down. A more gentle practice to gently open the body and then prepare for deep relaxation. We will then nourish the body in a deep restorative practice, allowing the body to rest, digest, restore and renew. Both practices will include meditation.

Cost of the retreat includes transfer from airport to Ithaca on the Saturday afternoon, accommodation, and Mediterranean cooking of three meals a day using best local produce.

Celebrate life and myth – Greek and Indian – at this glorious island retreat with Laura Gilmore. This week’s retreat will give you the time and space to slow down, connect more deeply with yourself, to integrate the workings of your body and mind and to explore your life’s direction.  

 Each morning there will be a dedicated 2 hour practice to focus the mind, warm and tone the body. The morning asana will provide clear alignment while moving on the breath into flowing asana where suitable.

 The afternoon practice provides time to ease and release the body and centre the mind with mindfulness, breath and meditation practices. We may also work more deeply into the release of hips, shoulders and other trouble spots.

 Laura’s teaching conveys the true spirit and philosophy of yoga through movement and stillness, warmth and humour. With more than 25 years practice and 15 years teaching experience, her deep knowledge and intuition enable students to experience positive transformation, both physical and mental.

 Laura is a creative, inspiring teacher, responding to the needs of the students before her, while relying on the yogic wisdom passed down from her teachers and studies. Most recently she has studied Chakras with Anodea Judith, Subtle body wisdom with Tias Little, for more than 25 years he has studied Iyengar, Hatha yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga with some of the worlds most experienced teachers.  She has also studied Zen and Vipasana meditation, and pranayama and this is integral to her practice and teaching.
