Natasha Horne Bio

Natasha is an accredited Yoga and Bodywork practitioner.  She has further studied in human sciences, Pilates, Yin Yoga, Meditation and Dance therapy.

Natasha applies her background in therapeutic training, alongside her understanding and study of the ancient Science of Yoga to lead this retreat.   On this retreat you will be taught a broad range of healing techniques that acknowledge the physical, emotional/intellectual and spiritual bodies, i.e. the integration of the “whole person”.

Daily classes aim to dissolve the blockages of accumulated tension and bring the body’s systems back into harmony, you will practice in a beautiful and healing environment.

But more than this, Yoga helped me discover patience, presence, acceptance, peace and a huge appreciation of the breath. My background and passion for music and dance is evident in my style of teaching and my classes are filled with vibrancy, energy, fluidity and song.

This is an opportunity to revitalise your body and soul with yoga, healthy food, nature and relaxation on the Island of Ithaca –. Come alone or with your friends, mum, sister – we will be a mixed bunch of all ages and all are welcome.

The yoga style will be predominantly vinyasa but incorporating various other pieces I’ve learnt along the way too (Ashtanga, Yin, Hatha, Rocket) – whether you have never done yoga before or an experienced yogi, there will be something for everyone. My goal is to ensure that whatever experience and energy you arrive with, you leave from the mat with the energy, mindset and headspace you need to become the best version of yourself.

What to expect yoga-wise? Feel energised each morning in creative and dynamic yang sessions. For the evenings, we will switch to restorative yin with a focus on relaxation, breathing techniques and deep stretching of our main muscle groups. Between sessions, attend daily workshops (see timetable for more info).

There is lots to explore on the island  – from visiting local villages to boat trips to kayaking to beach hopping to guided hikes to simply chilling on the beautiful beach with a book (and possibly margarita) in hand! .

Following on from the day of sun, fun and community, dine on healthy, balanced and nutritious meals on the veranda, with the distant hills of Kefalonia as your canvas and a gorgeous bed to snooze the night away in. Leave feeling rejuvenated, energised and with clarity of mind.



7.30 – 8am: tea’s, coffee

8 – 9.15am: Morning Yoga

9.15 – 9.30am: Meditation/Breathing Techniques

10.00 – 11.00am: Brunch

FREE TIME:  explore the island, swim, read, rest, do what you please! There will be lunch served during this time for those who are around at 2.30pm

WORKSHOPS: there will be daily workshops for 30 mins (timing TBC – I hope to vary this between days to take into account people day trips). These will be aimed at those wanting to advance their practice but open to all levels  – sessions are likely to be on; headstand, crow pose (including side crows), splits, shoulder stand, deep hip opening,  ‘stretching for runners’ and wheel pose. Along with yoga workshops I will be doing workshops on goal setting and juggling.

6.30pm – 7.30pm:  Restorative/Yin  Yoga

8.00pm: Dinner

This retreat by “Essential Yoga Retreat” is held in French 
This retreat is adapted to all levels, weather you are a beginner and just started yoga, or an expert who wants to go more in-depth with his practice.
Everyday, we will open a new chapter in our yoga journey to enhance our body perception and to make energy circulate across our body
Our morning session will be held outside, between nature, trees and overlooking the see. We will start with a meditation, several Pranayama’s (breathing exercises), and  dynamic yoga routines: Vinyasa, Hatha flow and Radiant Body. This refreshing practice will make you start your mourning full of energy.
Afternoon sessions, on the other hand, will be a combination of Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, Restorative and Yoga Nidra. This soft and tranquil practice will occur both indoors and outdoors.
The two daily meditations will allow you to take in the moment, by feeling the silence, and developing a introspective look.

Ida na Pingala Yoga Retreat is a small and unique yoga retreat company, started and run by two yoga teachers, Ida Grimstedt and Rebecca Rylander, both from Sweden. Their great passion in life is to spread the healing power of yoga and to create wonderful communities of friendship in magical and well-chosen locations. Together they arrange yoga retreats both in Sweden and abroad. Ida is a Vinyasa Yoga teacher and Rebecca is a MediYoga & Yin Yoga teacher. Together they create a balance through different styles with an approach of Yin and Yang.

Yoga Retreat

During one week in August they will host a yoga retreat at beautiful itha108 where they wish to share yoga, love and friendship, while creating an oasis of acceptance, joy and happiness. The yoga retreat is for anyone; no experiences of yoga needed. The focus is to create balance in body, mind and soul through yin & yang philosophy. Every morning we start with either a dynamic Vinyasa Flow or a strong and meditative MediYoga class. In the evening we offer a slow and healing Yin Yoga class.
