Yoga Radiance Retreat

Join me for a week of vibrant Yoga, sea air, sunshine and great food in this stunning venue, overlooking the breathtaking backdrop of the Ionian sea.  No matter what your level this retreat is an invitation to explore the many delights that Yoga has to offer – it’s your time to relax, rest and rejuvenate on this very special island.

Our days will begin with a combination of alignment based Hatha, energetic Vinyasa Flow, circulation work, chakra awakening and more! Our evenings will comprise of restorative and Yin Yoga along with a variety of Pranayama and Meditation techniques.

Claire Hawkins

My love of Yoga developed 15 years ago when I was looking to balance my life as a Musical Theatre Actress with something that offered me grounding, authenticity and an ability to settle my emotions and mind. From then on my love of Yoga has grown as has the strength and flexibility it has given me. But more than this, Yoga helped me discover patience, presence, acceptance, peace and a huge appreciation of the breath. My background and passion for music and dance is evident in my style of teaching and my classes are filled with vibrancy, energy, fluidity and song.

Trained with Katy Appleton, 200hr Yoga Alliance and with Paul Grilley, founder of Yin Yoga.

22 – 29 June 2019 | Helena Wilton | Revitalise your Body and Soul

retreats 2019

This is an opportunity to revitalise your body and soul with yoga, healthy food, nature and relaxation on the Island of Ithaca –. Come alone or with your friends, mum, sister – we will be a mixed bunch of all ages and all are welcome.

The yoga style will be predominantly vinyasa but incorporating various other pieces I’ve learnt along the way too (Ashtanga, Yin, Hatha, Rocket) – whether you have never done yoga before or an experienced yogi, there will be something for everyone. My goal is to ensure that whatever experience and energy you arrive with, you leave from the mat with the energy, mindset and headspace you need to become the best version of yourself.

What to expect yoga-wise? Feel energised each morning in creative and dynamic yang sessions. For the evenings, we will switch to restorative yin with a focus on relaxation, breathing techniques and deep stretching of our main muscle groups. Between sessions, attend daily workshops (see timetable for more info).

There is lots to explore on the island  – from visiting local villages to boat trips to kayaking to beach hopping to guided hikes to simply chilling on the beautiful beach with a book (and possibly margarita) in hand! .

Following on from the day of sun, fun and community, dine on healthy, balanced and nutritious meals on the veranda, with the distant hills of Kefalonia as your canvas and a gorgeous bed to snooze the night away in. Leave feeling rejuvenated, energised and with clarity of mind.

7.30 – 8am: tea’s, coffee

8 – 9.15am: Morning Yoga

9.15 – 9.30am: Meditation/Breathing Techniques

10.00 – 11.00am: Brunch

FREE TIME:  explore the island, swim, read, rest, do what you please! There will be lunch served during this time for those who are around at 2.30pm

WORKSHOPS: there will be daily workshops for 30 mins (timing TBC – I hope to vary this between days to take into account people day trips). These will be aimed at those wanting to advance their practice but open to all levels  – sessions are likely to be on; headstand, crow pose (including side crows), splits, shoulder stand, deep hip opening,  ‘stretching for runners’ and wheel pose. Along with yoga workshops I will be doing workshops on goal setting and juggling.

6.30pm – 7.30pm:  Restorative/Yin  Yoga

8.00pm: Dinner

Their great passion in life is to spread the healing power of yoga and to create wonderful communities of friendship in magical and well-chosen locations. Together they arrange yoga retreats both in Sweden and abroad. Ida is a Vinyasa Yoga teacher and Rebecca is a MediYoga & Yin Yoga teacher. Together they create a balance through different styles with an approach of Yin and Yang.

Yoga Retreat

During one week in August they will host a yoga retreat at beautiful itha108 where they wish to share yoga, love and friendship, while creating an oasis of acceptance, joy and happiness. The yoga retreat is for anyone; no experiences of yoga needed. The focus is to create balance in body, mind and soul through yin & yang philosophy. Every morning we start with either a dynamic Vinyasa Flow or a strong and meditative MediYoga class. In the evening we offer a slow and healing Yin Yoga class. During the day there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the magical location, delicious food and join practices of meditation, workshops or pranayama.

10 – 17 August 2019 |Athanasia Medenas

10 – 17 August 2019 |Athanasia Medenas

retreats 2019

Athanasia is a Certified Vinyasa Yoga and Breathwork Teacher as well as a Certified Clairvoyant Healer & Reader from the Intuitive Healing Institute. Her training with shamanism centers around many ancestors, teachers and shamans that she has had the privilege of connecting with throughout the past 4 years. Receiving a Masters Degree in Sociology, specializing in Social Psychology, Athanasia incorporates sociological theory to her work. Breaking down social conditioning through Breathwork and Sacred Journey Work, she is dedicated to helping people connect with their heart and souls purpose.

Early in her career, Athanasia understood that our breath is the most significant medicine in both Shamanism and Yoga. Blending Shamanic Journey Work with the art of Yoga, Athanasia creates a direct experience of the physical asana practice of Yoga through ceremony, ritual and communion with nature and the Universe. Athanasia feels that cultivating a relationship with the breath introduces the practitioner to their soul and higher levels of consciousness.

Encouraging growth and ascension on the spiral path of life, Athanasia helps facilitate growth through a metamorphosis of self and transcendence of old habits, patterns and limiting ways of existing on this planet. Athanasia believes we can be in full alignment with the universe to manifest and create our lives to live more harmoniously within ourselves and our environment. Combining the structure of Yogic principles and theories with Shamanic ritual and ceremony, Athanasia created Shamanic Yoga to not only engage us to remember who we really are but also to allow us to truly live a life happy, joyous and free.
